AIG Life has extended the maximum age and cover amounts for its Instant Life insurance product.

It has increased the maximum age at purchase from 54 to 59 and extended its maximum age covered by 20 years from 69 to 89.

The maximum sum assured has also increased to £750,000 from £600,000.

Instant Life, available through intermediaries or via financial comparison websites, does not require manual or medical underwriting – meaning customers can secure a quick decision.

Neil Davies, commercial director at AIG Life, said: We’ve made Instant Life insurance more accessible to broader range of customers, reflecting that more customers can carry financial liabilities beyond the age of 70 and want buying life insurance to be as easy as possible in a way that suits them.”
