Allianz and SanlamAllianz expand employee health benefits network across Africa

Allianz Partners has expanded its health and benefits network into Africa through its regional partnership with SanlamAllianz.

It creates an integrated global employee health benefits network across Africa in 11 countries.

Global programmes are available in Morocco, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Cameroon, Gabon, Mauritius, Burkina Faso, Mali, Madagascar, Togo and Benin – with more markets to follow as regulatory approvals are secured.

Established in September 2023 as a joint venture between the Sanlam and Allianz groups, SanlamAllianz operates across 26 countries on the African continent.

Multinational corporations will gain access to international and local support with Allianz Partners reinsurance combined with SanlamAllianz’s local market coverage in one network.

The network also aims to provide simplified programme management and a better employee experience through access to digital health tools, large local medical networks including top-end hospitals and locally compliant insurance, the providers said.

Ivan Komandnyi, head of insurer network management for Allianz Partners, said: “This is a significant step forward in helping multinational companies deliver consistent, high-quality health coverage for their employees across the continent.”
