Unum UK has joined the Association of Medical Insurers & Intermediaries (AMII) as a corporate member.
The move coincides with Unum UK experiencing “significant” growth in the corporate dental insurance market, having acquired the renewal rights to Cigna’s dental business in 2023.
Clare Lusted, head of product proposition at Unum UK, (pictured) said: “Unum UK has been a trailblazer in the employee benefits industry, consistently delivering innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of businesses and their employees to create happy, healthy and productive workplaces.
“Our decision to join AMII aligns with our dedication to providing high-quality and impactful propositions, including progressive dental insurance offerings.
“The corporate dental insurance market has witnessed notable growth in recent times, with employers recognising the importance of holistic employee well-being built around modern-day employees’ needs.
“Unum UK’s expertise in this area positions us as a valuable contributor to AMII, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the association.”
David Middleton, executive chairman of AMII, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Unum, an organisation whose reputation exemplifies the strength and quality of the members we have within our group.
“As we continue to strive for excellence, we look forward to the valuable insights that Unum will bring to our members.
“The outlook for 2024 is already extremely positive, and Unum’s expertise in group risk management will undoubtedly enhance our collective efforts.”
