Anorak offering protection products to young adults with Quirk deal

Protection broker Anorak has partnered with personal finance app Quirk to provide under-35s with financial education and advice.

Quirk provides a personalised spending plan for customers and will integrate Anorak’s capabilities to offer information on protection, assess each customer’s needs and help them access the right protection.

The deal follows a similar distribution agreement last month with Plum that will allow the money management service’s users to buy protection products directly through their app.

Anorak CEO and co-founder David Vanek said the partnership with Quirk opened the door to educating more young adults about the benefits of protection products early on.

“Following the worst of the pandemic, more millennials are investigating life insurance,” he said.

“By partnering with Quirk we will provide this age group with reliable, unbiased, personalised financial advice, on how to protect their quality of life and that of their dependents.”

Quirk CEO and co-founder Nikos Melachrinos added: “We’re really excited to work with Anorak on providing free advice and helping our users think about protections that are essential to their financial lives.

“We’ve worked together to make the approach a lot more accessible and easy to navigate for young people so they are able to get started earlier.

“We admire Anorak’s expertise in insurance and their commitment to providing a human-centred service.”
