Aviva has announced it is offering additional wellbeing support to customers taking out a Healthier Solutions policy between 3 July and 13 December 2024. Terms and conditions apply.
Customers will be offered 12 month’s free access to the Joe Wicks’ Body Coach app for £89.99. Joe Wicks (pictured), is a British fitness coach, TV presenter, known for his high intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts.
The app includes more than 600 work outs tailored to different levels and more than 1,000 recipes and meal plans in a bid to help individuals improve their health and wellbeing.
The app content aims to reflect that everyone has different levels of fitness and a variety of health and wellbeing needs.
This initiative follows the announcement that Aviva was joining forces with Body Coach Joe Wicks and Strava to launch #MoveWithAviva, a challenge designed to help encourage the nation to take steps to improve their health and wellbeing.
The challenge, which saw more than 177k people taking part, encouraged everybody to kick-start new healthy habits by taking 10 minutes a day to focus on their wellbeing. Joe Wicks was on hand to offer tips and support along the way.
Dr Suba M, medical director at Aviva UK Health, said: “Many of us are living longer but not always living healthier.
“We’re seeing an increase in conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, musculoskeletal problems and mental health concerns.
“We all have a responsibility to look after our health but in today’s busy world, there are often other priorities, or we feel too tired and lack motivation.
“The Body Coach app gives our customer an easily accessible resource to help them adopt healthy behaviours which could help improve their future wellbeing.”
