Axa Global hires Swatton from Bupa Global as senior distribution leader in Asia

Axa Global Healthcare has appointed James Swatton to the role of senior distribution leader – Asia. 

Swatton (pictured) will be based in Hong Kong and will be responsible for Axa Global Healthcare’s IPMI distribution in the Asian region.  

He will work with partners to support the team in Hong Kong, helping to drive regional market expansion and delivering solutions for clients, the insurer said. 

Swatton previously worked at Bupa Global for five years leaving as head of commercial sales where he was based in Hong Kong. 

Prior to that he was general manager at Abacare Group in Hong Kong, where he worked for more than two years. 

Earlier in his career Swatton worked in recruitment for Oliver James Associates in Hong Kong for more than three years from 2013 to 2017. There he focussed on recruitment in the employee, health and benefits and IPMI space in the APAC region.
