Axa Health appoints directors for transformation and strategy and propositions

Axa Health has appointed Ash Danga as transformation director and Christian Hall to the newly created role of strategy and propositions director.

The pair also join the firm’s executive committee.

Danga is currently head of digital for global markets at HSBC, where he has been for the past eight years and joins Axa Health on Tuesday 24 September.

Before this, he was the product head for the delivery of the mobile banking platform at Lloyds Banking Group and has also spent time working with the NHS in delivering transformational change across hospital trusts.

Danga (pictured left) said: “I’m really looking forward to starting my new role at Axa Health.

“I’m passionate about helping improve and transform the way the organisation operates in order to deliver the best outcomes for members and enhance the experience for those who use our services.

“I have a deep understanding of financial services and customer-led product design, and I’m keen to start using my expertise and experience to continue the excellent work already underway and continue to drive the business forward.”

Hall (pictured right) joins Axa Health from the Axa UK and Ireland CEO office. Previously, he has held a range of strategy and finance roles within Allianz, LV and Aviva.

He said: “I’m excited to move to a new role within Axa and take on a new challenge within health.

“The priorities for my role include ensuring sustained focus on strategy and feeding this into the development of Axa Health’s products and propositions, to ensure we continue to expand and develop to provide the best experience for our members.”

Heather Smith, CEO at Axa Health, said: “We’re making good progress on our digital transformation journey and now is the time to build on this and accelerate it further, with the development of this new role.

Ash will be instrumental in helping us achieve our aims and I look forward to his arrival later this month. We always strive to make improvements and develop our services, to ensure we offer the best experience and high standards to our members.

“I’d like to thank Neil Driscoll, our interim transformation director who has helped us make significant strides forward in the delivery of our plans and has been a valued member of the team.

“Neil will stay with us to ensure a detailed handover to Ash.

“I’m also delighted that Christian will be staying within Axa to continue developing and driving forward our strategy and the propositions we offer, to ensure the best experience and service for our members.”

The pair will join the executive committee, alongside Ali Hasan, who joins as commercial director on 15 November 2024.
