Benenden Health is now offering smartphone-based heart rhythm checks to its members.
It follows a pilot programme in which 87% of participating members expressed a strong interest in having FibriCheck’s service included in their care package.
All Benenden Health members will have access to the FibriCheck app, enabling them to check their heart rate and heart rhythm wherever and whenever they want in 60 seconds using only their own smartphone device.
If a measurement detects a potential heart rhythm irregularity members will receive additional services such as review of their measurements and actionable insights into their heart health.
FibriCheck said: “This collaboration marks a significant step toward proactive and accessible heart health management.”
It has conducted more than 20 million heart rhythm measurements globally and the technology can be used on regular smartphone devices, enabling users to detect and monitor atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias.
The data from the intermittent and remote PPG-measurements is analysed by the firm’s AI algorithm which it said allows for immediate, actionable results that can be shared with healthcare providers seamlessly.
