BHSF hires ex-Key Group COO Callaghan as part of digital transformation

Georgina Callaghan (pictured left) has joined BHSF as chief operating officer (COO), succeeding Stuart Hayhurst who was promoted to group CEO.

Callaghan brings more than 20 years of experience in business transformation, digital innovation, and operational leadership, the cash plan provider said.

She was most recently COO and director of change at Key Group. Prior to that she was digital head of engineering at The Co-op and a senior consultant at PwC.

The firm said her appointment is a key part of it’s strategy to strengthen its operational foundations and deliver on its transformation agenda.

Clare Enstone (pictured right) also joined the provider in May as director of risk and compliance, having left Holloway Friendly where she was most recently head of risk.

The provider said she would bring experience of governance, regulatory frameworks and enterprise risk management, and was taking responsibility for it’s risk and compliance strategy.

BHSF further noted the appointments came as was undergoing an end-to-end transformation journey, modernising its core insurance system and product portfolio to deliver more accessible, data-driven, and digital user-friendly services.

This included the launch of its health and wellbeing plan in january, which forms part of a wider strategy to enhance the employee experience and support businesses in building healthier, more resilient teams.
