Bupa expanding MSK pathway into Nuffield Health hospitals

Bupa UK Insurance is to expand its musculoskeletal (MSK) pathway into Nuffield Health hospitals as part of a three-year contract extension with the healthcare provider.

The updated agreement introduces direct diary booking which will allow customers to book an initial appointment with a Nuffield Health consultant through the Bupa Finder website.

Bupa will also expand its musculoskeletal (MSK) pathway into Nuffield Health hospitals.

The insurer said customers would benefit from streamlined referral-to-treatment times, including an initial triage appointment within one working day and diagnostics within three working days of contacting Bupa.

Chris Gowland, chief commercial officer, Nuffield Health, said: “We’re committed to providing innovative, high-quality care and giving people fast access to the treatment they need.

“With new tools like direct diary booking and state-of-the-art diagnostics, we’re making it easier than ever for people to get excellent care across our network. This agreement with Bupa reflects our shared ambition to keep raising the bar for healthcare across the UK.”

Richard Washington, medical and healthcare director at Bupa UK Insurance, added: “This long-standing partnership with Nuffield health helps us deliver on that promise – offering improved access, supported by digital innovations and next generation diagnostics.

“It’s another step forward in our shared ambition to improve the nation’s health.”
