Bupa Global updates Hong Kong individual plans

Bupa Global has launched updated international private medical insurance (IPMI) retail plans in Hong Kong.

The insurer rolled out the changes for individuals and families last week.

It said the refreshed plans offered “greater flexibility and a range of options, giving customers more control over their cover – whether it’s geographical coverage options, network preferences, optional maternity benefits or co-insurance levels.”

It added that customers can tailor the plan to suit their needs and lifestyles.

It has not given any further details about changes made to the plans.

Indonesia expansion

Earlier this year Bupa Global launched its first business health plans for SMEs in Indonesia.

The move is a partnership with local insurer PT Sunday.

The insurer said the plans had “clear trade-up benefits for each tier, optional covers, and co-insurance options”.
