Bupa UK Insurance and Ramsay UK have agreed a new four-year contract to expand key Bupa specialist cancer care centres in the areas of breast, bowel and prostate, offering oncology services with enhanced speed of access.
The businesses added they are also committed to taking “meaningful” action on climate change and have set science-based targets for reducing their carbon emissions across all scopes. Bupa and Ramsay UK are aligned in their goal to reach net zero emissions by 2040 and will collaborate closely to reduce their environmental impact.
Among their targets, Bupa has committed to reducing direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions by at least 46.2% by 2030, while Ramsay aims to reduce such emissions by 42% by the same year.
Alex Perry, CEO, Bupa UK Insurance, said: “We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Ramsay Health Care UK and to work together to drive positive change in the healthcare industry.
