Canada Life hires Chris Morgan as head of product and proposition strategy

Canada Life has appointed Chris Morgan as head of product and proposition strategy within its protection business

Morgan has 15 years’ experience in the group protection and employee benefits market, having led marketing and business development teams at Ellipse and spent five years at AIG Life where he was most recently head of group protection distribution.

In this new role, Morgan (pictured) will be responsible for developing Canada Life’s products and customer proposition.

He will also join the protection senior leadership team, where he will play a lead role in the creation of future strategies, the insurer added.

Dan Crook, managing director, group protection at Canada Life UK, said he was delighted Chris had joined Canada Life.

“He brings a wealth of valuable experience and expertise to the business and will play a key role in ensuring our products and propositions unlock real value for our customers,“ Crook said.

“Chris is a respected leader in our market and I’m excited to see what we can achieve as we evolve our business and shape the future of our market.”

Morgan added: “Right from our first discussions, I was struck by Dan’s energy, passion and vision for the protection business at Canada Life.

“With a career largely built at challenger brands, I am excited to apply that experience to an established business so we can find new ways to deliver value for customers and distinguish Canada Life as a standout leader in the years to come.”
