Cirencester Friendly appoints non-exec director

Cirencester Friendly has appointed Andy Lucas to its management board as a non-executive director.

Lucas (pictured) has previously held senior roles at Prudential and ACE Insurance Group.

His most recent executive appointment was director and chief operating officer of The Cambridge Building Society where he was leading change management, information technology, customer operations, marketing, and product development.

He also currently serves as a non-executive director for Buckinghamshire Building Society.

Lucas said: “I am delighted to join Cirencester Friendly’s board of management. The society, already a thriving mutual, has some ambitious plans and I look forward to playing my part in shaping its ongoing growth and development.”

John Quinn, chairman of Cirencester Friendly, added: “We are delighted to welcome Andy to our board. He has a wealth of relevant and varied experience thanks to his long career in financial services.

“In particular, he has worked for many years in a mutual organisation, so he completely shares the vision of Cirencester Friendly that our members are at the heart of everything we do.

“We are confident that he will make a great contribution to the society’s exciting future development.”
