Colin Boxall retires from health and protection industry following Advo acquisition

Colin Boxall has officially retired from the health and protection industry, he announced yesterday.

Boxall (pictured centre right) was owner and executive director of the Maidstone-based Advo Group for more than 16 years from 2008.

Earlier this month Premier Choice Group (PCG) acquired the employee benefits intermediary, however Boxall remained with the Advo One business

Last year Advo and its team secured five awards at the UK Health & Protection Awards 2023, including advice firm of the year.

In a post on LinkedIn yesterday Boxall said: “I have now officially retired from the health and protection industry.

“With the move of the employee benefit part of Advo over to Premier Choice Group I am now fully ‘surplus to requirements’.

“The decision was difficult, but right for everyone.

“I’m entirely confident that our people and clients are well looked after and can take forward our reputation for innovation and customer care in the years ahead under the new banner.

“Looking back over the last couple of weeks I realised that both I and the people around me have achieved so much, helping shape today’s health and protection landscape.

Boxall added: “My thanks to my EB colleagues and friends, my thanks to my insurer partners and friends, all those fantastic clients that made it all worthwhile and my thanks to an industry that makes people’s lives better. It has been an absolute privilege.”
