The Apprentice is to feature another leader from a mortgage and protection advice firm.
Among the candidates vying for the crown of business partner to Lord Alan Sugar in this year’s competition is Nikki Jehta, associate director for mortgage and protection at Coreco Network.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Jehta helps clients secure the right mortgage for their needs; whether they are first-time buyers, remortgaging, investing in buy-to-let properties, or expanding a portfolio.
This is something she would clearly like to continue as her business plan, should she win the competition, is to “take the fear out of mortgages” with a digital-first mortgage brokerage offering “radically transparent, expert-led advice to underserved buyers and home movers in the UK”.
On her profile for this year’s show, Jehta is referred to as a “charismatic master negotiator” who in just four years went from knowing nothing about her industry to opening her own company and working as a self-employed mortgage adviser.
Jehta is not the first protection adviser to appear on the show as two years ago, Raj Chohan, a mortgage and protection adviser at Golden Key Financial Services, went on an eight-week winning streak before being eliminated in week 9 of the competition.
Chohan also spoke at Health & Protection’s Protection Forum which coincided with the final of that year’s competition.
