Mike Dalby has been appointed CEO of consumer and local commercial at Howden replacing Kelly Ogley who is departing for another position.
Dalby is already CEO of consumer life and health at the advice firm will add leadership of the retail high street business to his brief.
Ogley has been in senior leadership roles at the firm for almost a decade with the last four years as CEO of Howden consumer and local commercial.
Howden said Ogley has decided to leave the business to take some time out with her family and consider other opportunities.
Dalby joined Howden in August 2023 from Axa Health to take on his current role.
In more than seven years at the insurer he had been director for individual health and then distribution director.
In 2000 Dalby founded Health-on-line which was eventually bought by Axa Health in 2012 after assuming the role of underwriter in 2006.
“During the two years that he has led Howden’s consumer life and health division, he has overseen remarkable revenue growth, integrated three businesses under a single brand, and led Howden’s recent acquisition of Active Quote,” the firm said.

Kennedy also credited Ogley with playing a pivotal role in the firm’s high street business for nine years.

Dalby’s appointment is effective immediately, subject to regulatory approval.
