Emma Thomson joins Reframe Cancer as consultant

Reframe Cancer has appointed Emma Thomson as a consultant.

Thomson will work alongside the Reframe team to help shape their proposition in the protection industry, and further strengthen its relationships with insurers and advisers, the firm said.

Thomson (pictured) has held an array of senior positions over the last 20 years, including life office relationship director at LifeSearch, product strategist at British Friendly and head of protection development at Sesame Bankhall Group.

A founding member, chairwoman and director of the Women in Protection Network, she is also a board member of the Protection Distributor’s Group.

Reframe Cancer provides cancer navigation and support, covering more than a million lives, helping both employees and employers affected by cancer.

Thomson said: “I’m delighted to be working with Reframe Cancer. The work they do is so important in supporting those living with cancer, as well as providing preventative services to help reduce the devastating impact cancer can have.

“There are some exciting developments planned for 2025 and I’m looking forward to helping them on their journey to support people affected by cancer through partnerships with insurers and distributors.

“Almost 950 people a day in England receive a cancer diagnosis which is a staggering number and one that’s likely to grow. This means the role the industry plays in supporting cancer patients, their loved ones and their employers, will become even more important over the next few years.”

Mark Stephenson, CEO of Reframe Cancer, added: “I’m thrilled that Emma has joined Reframe as a consultant. She is highly respected in the industry and her adviser insight and expertise is unrivalled.

“It’s a real coup bringing her on board, and as we look towards 2025, she will be fantastic at helping shape our work in this area.”
