Find out how you can support men’s health to keep your small business thriving

We are pleased to announce our next Academy event will take place on Wednesday 20 March at 10:00am Register now

With 75% of men avoiding going to the doctors even when showing signs of illness,(1) it’s vital small business owners recognise the importance of supporting men’s health in the workplace.

In the UK, men are more likely than women to suffer from serious health conditions such as cardiovascular disease(2), cancer(3) and type 2 diabetes(4). By failing to support men’s health, small businesses are at risk of lower productivity, increased absence and staff turnover.

As your health and wellbeing partner, we want to provide practical, relevant, and accessible content to help you fully support the men in your team and keep your small business thriving.

What to expect from the event

During this virtual event, we pay a visit to small business Mission to speak to their Head of Internal comms, Rob Ellis and Bupa Clinician Sam Preston, to discuss the different ways small businesses can support men’s health.

You’ll hear from Mission’s employees Mike Howes, Creative partner and Matt Hocken, Head of Creative who will share their personal experiences of dealing with their own health challenges in the workplace.

Finally, you will also hear from Laura Williams, Head of Partnerships Legal Team at Worknest who will share some key legal considerations for small businesses on how they can best support their employees in the workplace
