Protection adviser Naomi Greatorex is to take part in a UN Women UK initiative next week aimed at accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls by addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing with a gender perspective.
Speaking to Health & Protection ahead of International Women’s Day today (8 March), the managing director of Heath Protection Solutions (pictured) said she has volunteered to be a UN Women UK delegate to the United Nations’ Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68).
“This means I am one of 6,000 volunteers taking part in this UN Women UK initiative, joining a community in the UK to discuss this year’s theme at the CSW68,” Greatorex said.
“As a volunteer delegate we can take part in community events together, these will discuss the important topics raised between 11 and 24 March.
“I am looking forward to listening online to the important conversations taking place in New York at the CSW68 this year and sharing what I learn with my wider community.”
