Half of female members engage with women’s health service – Healix

Half of Healix’s female members with access to its women’s health offering have engaged with the service since its April 2021 launch, according to the healthcare trust provider.

Healix noted that 77% of its clients had opted to include the offering in their trust and it expected uptake of the benefits to reach 80% of all clients by April 2022 amid renewals and new schemes commencing.

The offering is now available as an additional service for all existing and new clients should they wish to have it included as part of their trust.

The subject of women’s health has risen up the agenda for health insurance providers over the last year.

Aviva launched a menopause support service for SME line managers, Bupa introduced a menopause helpline and WPA released a women’s health insurance product for large corporates.

Ian Talbot, CEO at Healix, (pictured) said the service’s successful uptake had shown the importance of female focused health support in the workforce.

“Since April, we have seen three quarters of our clients take up the offering, allowing us to help thousands of women with their health and wellbeing in just the first seven months,” he said.

“We look forward to seeing the positive impact that this will continue to have on women’s health in the workforce and hope 2022 will be even stronger.”
