HCA Healthcare opening Battersea outpatients centre

HCA Healthcare UK is to open HCA UK Outpatients Battersea & Nine Elms outpatient centre next month.

The £2m investment will provide access to a range of outpatient care. Appointments will be available for specialist consultant-led clinics including sports injuries, women’s health and gastrointestinal conditions.

The centre will offer outpatient care to the immediate residential and working commuter populations, which HCA says have been significantly boosted by the developments at Battersea Power Station and Embassy Gardens.

Operated by Lister Hospital team, part of HCA Healthcare UK, patients at HCA UK Battersea & Nine Elms will benefit from the wider capabilities of the HCA UK network of care.

This will include access to any onward care that is needed, including access to specialties such as orthopaedics, cardiac and acute admissions at The Lister Hospital, located a short distance away.

Suzy Canham, CEO of The Lister Hospital, said: “We have continued to see increasing demand for outpatient care. HCA UK Battersea & Nine Elms will ensure that we can provide the areas’ growing residential and professional population with access to timely, high-quality care.

“What we uniquely offer at HCA UK is the ability to provide care to patients at every level of complexity, so that patients that require onward care or treatment can access it, swiftly and seamlessly within our network.

“With the Lister Hospital just a short distance away, we can ensure that people in the local area can benefit from a full range of care and expertise in the most convenient location for them.”

This latest investment follows HCA UK’s announcement that it will open an £18m outpatients and diagnostics centre in Canary Wharf in early 2024.
