HCA Healthcare-owned London Bridge Hospital has opened a walk-in GP centre.
Offering 15-minute, face-to-face GP appointments for £80, the centre is open to anyone aged 18 or older who requires support with non-life-threatening health concerns or minor illnesses.
HCA said the centre aims to provide immediate and convenient access to GP-led medical care for those working in the City, as well as commuters and tourists who require an appointment quickly.
It offers patients same-day access to GPs, without the need to book an appointment. Patients can walk in or call ahead, and a private clinician will be available to see them on the same day, with no waits or delays, HCA added.
Services include access to London Bridge Hospital facilities including imaging, outpatients and diagnostics, as well as a broad population of specialist consultants should they be needed.
For patients who present with a medical issue requiring hospital admission, the centre is also equipped to support private referrals into London Bridge Hospital through HCA UK’s 24/7 acute admissions service.
Harborne Hospital medical director
HCA Healthcare also appointed Simon Radley as medical director for The Harborne Hospital – a new multi-specialty private hospital in Birmingham set to open this autumn.
Radley has more than 37 years’ experience within the healthcare industry, specialising in general and colorectal surgery.
In his new role at The Harborne Hospital, he will be responsible for providing medical leadership, supporting the consultant body and – along with the leadership team – creating a progressive and inclusive culture within the hospital.
