Hooray Health & Protection and Phoenix Health & Protection have joined the Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (AMII).
Launched last year, Phoenix Health & Protection was set up by Richard Charlton to help clients navigate their medical and life insurance options.
With more than 20 years in the insurance industry, Charlton worked for Axa PPP and Mercer before deciding to set up his own business.
Charlton said: “We are excited to be joining AMII as its ethos of always putting the customer first completely aligns with our values at Phoenix. We have also been impressed by the work the body has undertaken recently.
“From streamlining processes to government lobbying, they are working hard to improve the industry for the benefit of the client, and this is something we definitely want to support.”
Charlie Cousins set up Hooray Health & Protection to meet demand in the SME space and especially the new to market sector.
His Hove-based business supports companies in planning core benefits, flexible benefits and voluntary benefits.
Cousins said: “Since we set up, we’ve seen huge demand for our services and our business has really grown.
“Joining AMII was a natural next step for us as a way of keeping up to date with the industry and continuing to profile our business.”
David Middleton, executive chairman at AMII, (pictured) added: “These are two fresh and exciting businesses which reflect our changing industry. Starting up as a new business can be a fairly daunting time, so we look forward to welcoming them into AMII and supporting them as they grow and thrive.”
