International insurance broker Howden has appointed Mike Baker as chief client officer of Howden Asia.
Based in Singapore, Baker reports to Goh Chye Huat, CEO, Howden Asia.
Baker’s role is to further develop Howden’s large client proposition in the region, focusing on servicing multinational companies and organisations with complex risk requirements across Asia.
Beginning his career in 1985, Baker previously worked internationally as both an underwriter and a broker, based in London, Sydney, and Singapore.
He joins Howden from Aon, where he was the strategic account manager for Asia.
Prior to that, he spent nine years at Willis Towers Watson (WTW) holding various senior roles including head of corporate, property and casualty and global client relationship manager.
