Income Protection Task Force reveals third cohort of 7Advisers

The Income Protection Task Force (IPTF) has announced a third round of its adviser focused campaign, 7Advisers.

The initial six advisers are Cameron Erskine of 77Wealth Management, Gemma Sawyer of Switch FS, Marta Scott-Manuszewska of Five Star Mortgages, Rhys Schofield of Peak Mortgages and Protection, Scott Aitken of Aitken Financial Services, and Tara Cohen of The Mortgage Centre Direct Ltd.

The seventh adviser is set to be announced at the end of March.

The seven advisers will be in place for the next 12 months and will provide valuable real-time feedback, experience and thoughts on what will make a difference to advisers in the real world to grow the income protection market as well as producing video content documenting their experience as an adviser advising on income protection.

Additionally, they will represent IPTF at meetings, webinars, industry events and as part of Income Protection Action Week in September.

The 7Advisers campaign aims to highlight important issues faced by advisers and share best practice with industry professionals.

As happened with the first cohort of advisers, the second set of advisers will look to continue supporting the IPTF as ambassadors.

Jo Miller, managing director at IPTF, said: “The IPTF 7Advisers Campaign has proven to be a valuable initiative for shaping our understanding of the challenges and opportunities linked to income protection.

“This latest group of advisers brings together a mix of advisers from diverse backgrounds, each with unique experience and a shared passion for highlighting the difference that income protection can make for clients.

“We are grateful to our new 7Advisers and our growing group of ambassadors for helping us to shape a stronger industry that delivers better outcomes for clients and a more financially resilient population and delighted at how the initiative has evolved.”
