India’s Star Health launches home health delivery service

Indian retail health insurance company Star Health and Allied Insurance has launched its Home Health Care services which aims to deliver healthcare solutions straight to the customer’s doorstep. 

Customers can receive treatment for infectious ailments including fever, acute gastroenteritis, urinary tract infection (UTI) and acute gastritis, by calling the company directly or through the Star Health mobile app. 

Star Health Insurance has collaborated with leading providers including Care24, Portea, CallHealth and Athulya Homecare to offer in-home medical care across India. 

The service is available to more than 50 cities across India.  

The service also aims to provide seamless and instant claims settlement, including primary and critical care, integrated health care services, nursing, elderly care, physiotherapists, infant care, lab diagnostics and pharmaceutical products. 

Star Health said: “With healthcare costs escalating, the home healthcare service will be convenient and cost-effective for patients compared to traditional hospital care.  

“Additionally, the increased comfort for patients and personalised care, in the comfort of their own home will help reduce stress and anxiety.”
