Marta Scott-Manuszewska, director at Five Star Mortgages (pictured), has revealed that simply sitting down with her client to conduct a mortgage review meant that her Polish client could access mental healthcare through the added value services she didn’t know she had on her policy.
On the fourth day of Income Protection Action Week, Scott-Manuszewska said: “I was doing someone’s mortgage review recently and they mentioned that they’d had a lot of trouble with their teenage daughter.
“And they couldn’t really get any help and the waiting list was just horrendous. We’re talking about months rather than weeks.”
So Scott-Manuszewska conducted a mortgage review and found her client could access psychological help for her daughter.
“It was great because she came from something completely different,” she continued.
“It was a mortgage review and we just sat there. We phoned the client. The client was Polish. English was her second language,” she added.
“We phoned the insurance company, booked the appointment and she didn’t even know she could access it. It was just life changing.”
