IPTF announces IPAW 2025 dates

The Income Protection Task Force’s (IPTF) Income Protection Action Week (IPAW) week-long series of free online events will take place from 22 September.

It will continue to bring together professionals from across the industry to help develop IP expertise, improve conversations, and encourage the industry to take meaningful action to help grow the market, ensuring more people get the cover that they need to be financially resilient, the IPTF said.

Full details of daily sessions, speakers, and registration will be published later this year.

Jo Miller, managing director of the IPTF, said: “IPAW is one of our biggest undertakings each year, but the rewards are easy to see in the feedback we get and ultimately in the interest in, and growth of, the income protection market.

“Our goal remains simple: to inspire action.

“This year, we are focusing on delivering content that enables advisers to quickly implement what they learn. Whether that’s improving client conversations, increasing protection sales, or gaining a deeper understanding of the market.

“We encourage advisers to tell us what they would like to see covered so we can ensure IPAW 25 is as relevant, practical, and engaging as possible.”

Jennifer Gilchrist, proposition specialist for protection at Royal London, added: “We’re committed to helping customers build their financial resilience and Income Protection Action Week is an important event in our calendar to support financial advisers.

“It allows us to raise the profile and demonstrate the value of income protection.

“Our insight shows many people are still coming to terms with the increased cost of living, and income protection is a great example of a financial safety net that shouldn’t be overlooked – by advisers or their clients.

“We’re proud to take part in the upcoming workshops and presentations and play our role in increasing awareness and focus on this important area.”
