IPTF launches Let’s Talk IP podcast series

The Income Protection Task Force (IPTF) has launched Let’s Talk IP, a podcast series hosted by Matthew Chapman.

The podcast, set for two episodes a month, will see Chapman speak to industry experts including a range of advisers about their experiences with income protection.

As well as highlighting the importance of income protection, the podcast will also share techniques that advisers can use to refine their advice process with each episode including an element of coaching.

The IPTF said it hoped that the podcast will become an invaluable resource for advisers and encourage listeners to use the hashtag #AskIPTF to engage with the episodes and submit questions for consideration.

IPTF co-chairwoman Jo Miller said “We’ve wanted to launch a podcast for a while now and the time feels right to build on the momentum created by IPAW and expand the educational and informative content we are producing for advisers which can count towards their unstructured CPD.

“Consumer duty makes it even more important that advisers ensure they are having a conversation about protecting income with their clients every time and highlighting the need for, and benefits of, financial resilience.”

Chapman added: “My hope for this podcast is that we can carry on the amazing work that IPAW does in enthusing advisers and helping them to see the importance of protecting income sources.

“I want this podcast to be an invaluable resource to help inspire advisers, to help them see the positive work that they do and to make their protection conversations easier and more productive.

“I hope that they seek inspiration from the adviser guests we have on the show and use my coaching tips to feel confident in protecting more of their clients using invaluable Income Protection and contributing to the growth in the market.”

The podcast will be available on all major platforms and can also be accessed from the IPTF website and links will be posted by the IPTF on LinkedIn. Episode one can be found here: https://www.buzzsprout.com/2310398/14760526
