Benenden Health has appointed Ricki Kerbey as broker sales manager.
Kerbey joins from Now Health International where he was senior business development manager for the UK, having spent five years with the insurer.
But he started his career in the sector at then Axa PPP International, joining as customer service agent, ahead of being promoted to senior international account coordinator and then international account manager.
Reporting to Jo Beetlestone, national account and sales manager, within Benenden Health’s business to business sales team, led by Anne Chappell-Smith, director of sales and channel development, Kerbey will focus on expanding the firm’s reach through the intermediary market.
The firm told Health & Protection he will work closely with brokers, employee benefits consultants and platform providers to develop new business opportunities, strengthen partnerships and bring the firm’s products to more employers and employees across the UK.
It further revealed his role combines strategic business development with hands-on relationship management to support long-term growth across the channel, adding his appointment reflects the continued success and growth of Benenden Health’s intermediary channel.
“Since 2023, scheme sales have increased by 49%, while member acquisition has grown by 146%, demonstrating strong demand and the ability to secure larger schemes,” Benenden Health continued.
“Benenden Health is also on track to deliver its strongest year yet in 2026, with member acquisition already up 71% compared with 2025. As a result, the business is expanding its broker sales team to support future growth and capitalise on further opportunities in the market.”
Announcing his move on social media, Kerbey said he was “very, very excited to get started”.
On his departure from Now Health International (NHI), Kerbey thanked the insurer and his colleagues.
“Since day one, NHI has really allowed me to thrive and I’ve genuinely loved every minute of my time,” he added.
