Legal & General has hired Steve Dyas as senior manager propositions within its retail business, where he will be working within the protection operation.
Dyas (pictured) has more than 20 years of working with insurers in the protection market, particularly involved with distribution and technology systems.
He was most recently at AIG Life for more than six years before its takeover by Aviva last year, where he had risen to head of distribution strategy.
Prior to AIG he was at LV= for 13 years as a portal manager working in the protection proposition team and supporting intermediaries.
Confirming the move, L&G revealed Dyas succeeds Darren Bowers and follows on from Nicki Plews’ appointment as head of product and propositions last year.
“Her leadership has been instrumental in driving forward L&G’s focus on digital and customer-centric products,” L&G said. “This strategic addition to her team underscores L&G’s ongoing commitment to delivering products and propositions that meet the changing needs of customers across all distribution channels.”
Dyas said via LinkedIn: “I will be leading a range of digital propositions in protection to help advisers and customers from the initial engagement right through to post-sale services.
“I look forward to meeting the L&G teams, working with our tech partners, suppliers and distributors.”
