Legal & General Retail has appointed Georgia Perkins as protection market development manager.
Perkins joins from HSBC where she was a business development manager. Before that was a protection consultant at Aegon.
She succeeds Hazel Johnston in the insurer’s market development team, who has been promoted to business development director within Legal & General’s annuities team.
The market development team are primarily responsible for growing the market through research, insight and development of advisers’ knowledge and skills, covering both personal protection and business protection, through webinars, face-to-face workshops and conferences.
Perkins (pictured) said: “I’m delighted to be joining Legal & General as protection market development manager to build on the excellent work already underway to grow the market and provide high-value support to advisers across the UK.
“I look forward to delivering insightful and engaging support programmes to further develop adviser knowledge and skill.”
