LifeSearch appoints Richardson and Mooney to head PMI team

LifeSearch has charged its head of expert advice Alan Richardson and people and business leader Chris Mooney with leading its expanded private medical insurance (PMI) advice team.

This morning the advice firm announced it was extending a pilot project of providing health insurance advice to a further 45 of its senior advisers in 2024 as it expands its private medical insurance (PMI) offering.

It is initially offering PMI products from Aviva, Bupa, The Exeter, Vitality and Western Provident Association (WPA).

The firm said the move was in response to customer demand and will see it offer a full suite of health benefits, including life, critical illness, income protection, and PMI.

A spokesperson for the company told Health & Protection a team of senior advisers headed up by Richardson and Mooney had already been trained to handle PMI business amid plans to extend this training to 45 leading advisers.

Richardson (pictured left), a former account executive at both Aviva and Axa, joined LifeSearch as an insurance agent in 2014. During the last decade he made his way up to head of business protection and group, and more recently added the title head of expert advice.

Mooney (pictured right) holds the roles of people and business leader and Lifesearch adviser. He joined the business in 2017 from You Assured where he was a healthcare consultant.
