LSL hiring advisers after agreeing five-year protection advice deal

LSL has begun an adviser hiring spree after agreeing a five-year deal to provide protection advice to all members of The Property Finance Group (TPFG).

The Property Franchise Group has more than 430 physical office locations, conducts the sale of around 23,000 properties per year and manages more than 73,000 tenanted properties.

LSL’s deal as preferred advice provider is for a minimum of five-years and means LSL will be offering digital and face-to-face protection and mortgage advice to customers of TPFG and TPFG’s franchisees.

Franchisees will be offered the opportunity either to take on their own adviser and become an appointed representative (AR) of LSL’s Primis network, or to refer customers to existing Primis ARs including LSL’s in-house advisers.

LSL said it had begun the process of recruiting the additional advisers “required to meet the expected volumes arising from referrals from c23,000 house sales completed annually by TPFG and its franchisees”.

It expects the service to be fully operational by the end of 2021 with volumes expected to continue to grow as the service is embedded and then benefiting from repeat business.

LSL did not say how many advisers it was looking to hire. A spokesman told Health & Protection: “All of the advisers we’re looking to recruit over the coming months and years will be focussed on protection advice as well as mortgage advice, as we firmly believe that every pound of lending also needs protecting.”
