McMillan appointed non-executive chairman of Nabta Health in UAE

UAE-based Nabta Health has appointed Iain McMillan as non-executive chairman.

Nabta Health is primarily a women’s health clinic with locations in the UAE, offering a range of services such as gynaecological support, preventive care, mental health, pregnancy, nutrition and dietetics.

McMillan was previously director of distribution at Bupa, a post he held for more than three years. Other roles he held at Bupa since starting there in 2017 include director of intermediary distribution and head of SME intermediary development.

After leaving Bupa in December, McMillan became a consultant and founded IMC Consulting Ltd.

Prior to Bupa McMillan spent nine years within the Axa Health group through its insurance and intermediary operations, including three years at Axa, in the role of SME director and as managing director for health services.

Health & Protection reported in October that McMillan would be retiring from Bupa at the end of the year.

Nabta Health said: “Nabta Health is delighted to welcome Iain McMillan as our new non-executive chairman.

“With over seven years of senior leadership experience at Bupa, including his role as director of distribution, Iain brings invaluable expertise in healthcare access and strategic growth to our board.

“His deep understanding of insurance distribution and healthcare systems aligns perfectly with Nabta’s mission to make quality women’s healthcare more accessible across the MENA region.

“Iain’s appointment comes at an exciting time as we continue to expand our hybrid healthcare model and strengthen our partnerships across the region.

“His leadership will be instrumental in scaling our innovative care delivery platform and advancing women’s healthcare access.”

McMillan said via LinkedIn: “I am delighted to be part of Nabta Health and join the business at this very exciting stage of their growth.”
