Italian mental health platform and benefits firm Unobravo has raised a €17m in a series A funding round which will be used to develop its technology and products and expand internationally.
Unobravo aims to make mental health more accessible through technology by matching patients with the therapist best suited to their needs and preferences.
The company launched in 2019 and now has more than 100 employees, 2,000 selected therapists and more than 40,000 patients with over half a million therapy sessions completed in Italy and Spain.
The funding round was led by Insight Partners – a New York-based venture capital and private equity firm. Alessandro Luciano, investor at Insight Partners, will be joining the Unobravo board.
Danila De Stefano, CEO and founder of Unobravo, a psychologist and entrepreneur, said: “I am very happy to start this new chapter in Unobravo’s history. We will continue to work for mental health and normalising access to therapy, making it even more inclusive and accessible.”
Scott Barclay, managing director of Insight Partners, said: “The future of mental health requires a new care delivery model that is accessible, empathetic, convenient, and enabled by world-class technology. This is true in Italy. This is true in Spain. We are proud to back this team.”
