Morgan Price has appointed Christopher Dennis as general manager of its European business as the insurer aims to expand its operation on the continent.
Dennis will be based in the firm’s office in Copenhagen, Denmark and is charged with leading the growth of its business in the EU.
The insurer said it was moving forward with the expansion of its Northern European office and the addition of Dennis to the team marked an important step in this development.
Dennis joins from Luma Health Insurance in Thailand where he completed a two-and-a-half-year spell as CEO at the end of 2021, having spent the last 20 years working in health and travel insurance in Asia.
His previous roles include senior positions with Bupa including general manger in China and interim managing director in Thailand.
He has also been general manger for China with Global Benefits group (GBG), held the same role at Europ Assistance, and was managing director APAC for insurance systems provider Tia Technology.
Dennis said he was excited to be part of the next stage of the insurer’s journey and was looking forward to getting closer to its partners and customers in the European markets.
“International private medical insurance remains a highly specialised field which is best serviced by dedicated providers,” he added.
Morgan Price International managing director Jon Carpenter added: “We are delighted to welcome such a senior and experienced person as Chris to the business with all his breadth of knowledge across multiple markets and multiple IPMI disciplines, from claims, customer service, partner and country specific proposition development, to implementation of new business models.
“We are sure our customers and business partners in Europe and beyond will benefit from the addition of his talents and skill set to the Morgan Price team.”
