Myles app founders launch Myles Wellbeing

Entrepreneurs Toby Cannon and Michael McCreadie have launched Myles Wellbeing, a platform providing inclusive physical wellbeing for desk-based workers.

The platform builds on the original Myles app which was launched during the pandemic in the summer of 2020 to provide motivation for people to stick to their fitness goals.

The app is available on both iOS and Android and has been used by more than 20,000 people in 120 countries.

Through connecting with over 30 smartwatches and fitness apps, users of the new platform are able to compete with colleagues and earn rewards for completing a range of activities and sports. The platform aims to incentivise behavioural change by looking at participants’ improvement month on month.

Myles Wellbeing uses an algorithm based on ‘metabolic equivalent tasks’ to compare running with yoga, rowing with dance classes and walking with tennis to enable users to earn points. These can be seen on a leader board (pictured) and exchanged for a range of rewards.

Cannon said: “We’re the first generation that need to build physical activity into our day to day lives. We’re super excited to launch Myles Wellbeing to support employees in creating sustainable wellbeing habits”.
