OneFamily appoints former LV= director McNab as head of protection propositions

The OneFamily Group has appointed Chris McNab (pictured) as head of protection propositions.

McNab started his role last Thursday (8 August), after working for the group since May 2023 as a contractor.

He spent more than a decade at LV= where he progressed from head of protection proposition to head of life propositions to protection propositions director, having joined from Friends Provident where he was protection propositions manager.

McNab will lead on the production and proposition design for all protection products offered by the OneFamily Group.

This includes term, critical illness and over-50s products, as well as leveraging his expertise to build a full menu proposition.

This will sit across all channels including intermediated, aggregator and direct to consumer, in addition to existing partnerships and future opportunities.

He will work closely alongside newly appointed distribution director, Holly Ewing, and protection director, Ryan Griffin.

Alongside the wider protection team, OneFamily said he will also be working on the structure of the products, taking an end-to-end approach from the application journey, value added services, product, and price value, right through to claims.

McNab said: “OneFamily is committed to offering protection that is suitable for people from a range of backgrounds and I’m looking forward to continuing my work with the team to ensure our products are right for our customers.”

Ryan Griffin, protection director at OneFamily, added:  “This is an incredibly exciting time for the OneFamily Group as we continue to expand within the protection industry and I am pleased to welcome Chris to the team.”
