OneFamily appoints protection director and aims to grow intermediary business

OneFamily has promoted Ryan Griffin to its executive team as protection director.

The appointment comes a year on from the insurer’s acquisition of Beagle Street.

Griffin (pictured), who is director of product and pricing at Beagle Street, has been promoted to OneFamily’s executive team as protection director.

OneFamily said it has “ambitious” plans to build both its intermediated channel and its direct-to-consumer business and is investing in the Beagle Street brand in its bid to enable people with no life insurance to be able to better protect themselves.

Meanwhile Beth Tait, who has previously looked after marketing for the Beagle Street brand, has been appointed as marketing director.

Jim Islam, CEO of OneFamily said: “I am pleased to welcome Ryan and Beth to the executive team. Their roles will be instrumental in our growth strategy and I am looking forward to working with both of them.

“Everyone should have access to affordable life cover, it’s a basic financial need for anyone encountering a major life event such as the birth of their first child or getting a foot on the housing ladder.

“I see OneFamily as playing an essential role in filling that gap, to be the trusted provider that supports those who are underserved elsewhere.

“Our goal is to build the scale in life insurance that we’ve successfully achieved in children’s savings to help to protect even more people against life’s big challenges.”
