PAM Wellbeing joins AMII

PAM Wellbeing has joined the Association of Medical Insurers (AMII) as a corporate member.

Part of the wider PAM Group, PAM Wellbeing is an employee assistance programme provider offering EAP and psychological services in the UK, Ireland and globally.

But its services also include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, trauma and critical incident services, training and workshops, menopause support, a drug and alcohol programme and structured professional support.

Brandon Collins, managing director at PAM Wellbeing, said: “Joining AMII is an exciting strategic fit for PAM Wellbeing, having dealt with many of the market experts on the committee during my 32 years in the industry – it made perfect sense.

“Over the past three decades, I have seen how intermediaries have positively shaped the mental health landscape to meet client needs, as well as influencing the healthcare market in general.

“In 2003, together with some colleagues, we set-up an EAP business, after previously working for a PMI provider and having identified that mental health claims were increasing at a rapid pace, with very few providers catering for all client needs.

“We came up with a proposition for intermediaries to suit all types of clients and budgets – fast forward 20 years, and you could say the rest is history.

“PAM Wellbeing was born out of a need to support it’s customers and their employees from a holistic health and wellbeing perspective in 2009. It expands on the physical health and rehabilitation services that our occupational health sister company has expertly provided since 2004.

“With investment across all PAM Group business moving into the insurance broker and partner territory, it has given the market something new, including a range of EAP services for UK and ROI, specific programmes for membership organisations, students and overseas staff, post and pre-trauma support and critical incident services.”

David Middleton, executive chairman at AMII, (pictured) said: “I am thrilled to welcome PAM Wellbeing to our community.

“It’s always great to see distinguished and established companies join us. We highly value their presence and are excited to see what contributions they will bring.

“After a successful year, we are excited to keep growing and expanding our reach. We are eager to invite new associate organisations to join the AMII community and establish connections with more individuals and businesses in the health and wellness industry.”
