Paradigm hires Weiss as head of sales

Paradigm has appointed Louise Weiss as head of sales, with responsibility for the firm’s mortgage and protection business.

Her hire coincides with the appointments of Tom Hunt as commercial director and Daniel Davenport as business insights and team manager.

Joining the business with immediate effect, Weiss (pictured) will be responsible for the strategic direction of membership growth across mortgage and protection accounts, as well as compliance services.

As part of the senior leadership team, reporting to managing director Richard Howes, she will focus on delivering growth and income targets, leading partnership managers and business development directors, and identifying new firms to join the Paradigm group.

Weiss will also help shape adviser engagement strategy, provide market insight to the leadership team and represent the business at a senior level across the industry.

She joins from Bank of Ireland UK, where she was national partnership manager having held a senior role across sales, distribution and marketing, helping to shape intermediary strategy, grow market share and manage key partner relationships.

Paradigm has also promoted Tom Hunt to the newly-created role of commercial director from business development director where he will focus on driving commercial performance, strengthening lender and partner relationships, and supporting the continued evolution of the group’s proposition.

Meanwhile, Daniel Davenport has been appointed to the role of business insights and team manager.

Having been with the business for almost 10 years, he will continue to oversee the business performance analytics for Paradigm as well as line-managing a number of individuals involved in commissions, management information and protection support services.

Howes said: “We are delighted to welcome Louise to Paradigm and to promote both Tom and Daniel, three appointments that reflect both the strength of our business and our ambitions for continued growth.

“Louise brings a strong track record across distribution, partnerships and proposition development, and her leadership will be key as we continue to evolve our mortgage, protection and compliance offering.

“Tom’s expanded role recognises the impact he has already made within the business and the important part he will play in shaping our commercial strategy going forward.

“These changes further strengthen our senior leadership team and support our focus on growing our presence across the market, deepening our partner relationships and making full use of the wider capabilities within the whole group.”

Weiss said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have joined Paradigm Mortgage Services at such an exciting time for the business.

“I look forward to working closely with our members, partners and my new colleagues to build on the strong foundations already in place and help drive the next phase of growth.”

Hunt added: “I’m proud to take on the role of commercial director and to continue working with the team to build on Paradigm’s success and deliver further value for our members and partners.”
