PHIN appoints acting CEO

The Private Healthcare Information Network (PHIN) has appointed Jack Griffin as acting chief executive.

Griffin is currently PHIN’s finance and commercial director and will take over from founder Matt James from 1 April. The move follows James’ decision to step down in January.

An executive recruitment agency has been appointed to lead the search for a permanent successor.

Jayne Scott, chairwoman of PHIN, said: “I want to say a huge thank you to Matt for his vision and leadership over the last 10 years. He leaves PHIN in a great place.

“I am delighted Jack has agreed to take over the role during the interim period and I have every confidence that he will continue to move PHIN forward, working together with all our stakeholders.

“We have started the recruitment process for Matt’s successor.”

Griffin (pictured) said: “It has been a pleasure working with Matt and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to take over the reins on an interim basis until a successor has been appointed.

“I look forward to leading the team at PHIN and working with the PHIN board and all our stakeholders to develop our plans to deliver the Competition and Markets Authority order.”

James added: “I’m pleased that PHIN is now in Jack’s very capable hands, and wish Jack and the rest of the team all the best in continuing PHIN’s important mission.”
