Professional indemnity insurance (PII) provider Beazley has appointed Troy Dehmann as chief operating officer with immediate effect.
Dehmann (pictured) has more than 20 years of leadership experience in finance, operations and business transformation within the financial services sector.
He succeeds former COO Ian Fantozzi who is now leading the insurer’s recently established digital business unit.
His most recent role was as global COO for finance operations and core finance at HSBC during almost seven years at the bank in London, where his other roles included global COO of business finance and global head of cost management.
Prior to joining HSBC, Dehmann held several banking roles at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan Chase in New York. He started his career in finance at data and analytics firm Dun & Bradstreet Corporation.

Dehmann also joins Beazley’s executive committee and will be based in London.
