RedArc MD Christine Husbands receives Barnard Award

RedArc managing director Christine Husbands has been given the Barnard Award by insurer Scottish Widows.

Husbands (pictured) was presented with the award which recognises an individual that reflects the same commitment and passion to the protection market as Dr Marius Barnard did.

The insurer established the award in partnership with the family of Dr Barnard who was the founder of critical illness insurance.

Introducing the award, Scottish Widows protection director Rose St Louis, said: “Like Dr Barnard, this person is a catalyst for change working to improve the lives of customers – not motivated by self-promotion or the limelight, just passionately doing the right thing to help people.

“This person helps so many people and their families in difficult times in their lives offering tailored support to those affected by physical or mental health conditions, disability, trauma or bereavement.

“This person constantly thinks about the end customer open to new ways to helping them and their families.

“And works with insurers across the industry to support their events and helping to convey the many living benefits and value-added services covered by life insurance and critical illness policies.”
