Score, formerly known as Acre, has added automated suitability letters and integrated sourcing to its business protection offering.
The move allows advisers to create and manage business protection recommendations to clients with the same structure, transparency and auditability as the rest of Score’s protection journey.
The all-in-one intermediary platform is already live with relevant life (level and decreasing term) and executive income protection, while additional business protection product types such as shareholder protection are currently being tested with protection-focused brokerages ahead of a broader release.
Users will be able to capture client and group requirements, existing policy information, and beneficiary information in Score’s dynamic fact find. This information is automatically used in embedded sourcing, powered by Iress’ The Exchange. Quotes, documents, case tracking and accounting are all done without leaving the platform.
Josh Skelding, chief commercial officer at Score, said: “Today’s fast-moving, unpredictable environment means the risks business owners face are bigger than ever, and the need for protection has never been greater. With business protection sourcing now brought into Score, users can offer that safety net to new and existing clients alike, broadening advisors’ own proposition while keeping their clients’ wellbeing, both personal and professional, front of mind.”
Chris Caulfield-Jones, director of risk and compliance at Cornerstone Finance Group, added: “Business protection is a vital, yet often under-discussed, area of client advice. The ability to identify, source and evidence business protection needs within the same CRM environment advisers already use for mortgage and protection advice is a positive step forward for advice quality and client outcomes.
“At Cornerstone, we welcome Score’s innovation that helps advisers have better-structured conversations with business owners and key individuals, while supporting clear audit trails and good customer outcomes.”
