Spectrum.Life appoints Ian Ranger as head of insurance for UK and Ireland

Spectrum.Life, has announced the appointment of Ian Ranger as head of insurance for the UK and Ireland.  

Ranger will be primarily responsible for developing, managing and expanding the insurance client base in UK and Ireland 

With more than 17 years of experience in the protection market, including roles at Canada Life and MetLife, Ranger brings expertise in forging partnerships and driving innovation in the insurance sector.  

He will drive the Ireland-based company’s growth and development of the insurance channel across the UK and Ireland, while building and enhancing strategic partnerships with insurers, intermediaries, and wellbeing providers to deliver impactful and innovative solutions.  

While at Canada Life, Ranger was part of a leadership team that grew the group employee benefits business into one of the largest market players, protecting millions of employees and their families.  

And at MetLife, Ranger played a transformational role in developing group income protection offerings and fostering commercial partnerships with wellbeing providers, underscoring the critical role of health and wellbeing services in the Protection market.

Spectrum.Life celebrated its 300-employee milestone last September and plans to add 200 new roles across the UK, Ireland, and remote positions by the end of 2025.
