The quartet representing National Friendly claimed the honours as best team at the annual Santé Group charity golf day.

The third annual event, held for the second year at The Belfry, brought together more than 70 sector representatives and raised more than £500 for the Young Lives vs Cancer charity.

The victorious National Friendly team was led by commercial director Oliver Jones along with broker development managers John West and Keith Baines and business development manager Michael Deane.

Deane made it a double success for the squad by also claiming the longest drive award.

Victory was secured by just one point from Team Health & Protection, which was made up of Health & Protection editor Owain Thomas, Pemfit chief executive David Wilkinson, and father and son duo James Pontin and William Pontin.

However, William Pontin took the award for the closest to the pin competition.
