Towergate hires Pugh from Verlingue as head of consulting services

Towergate Employee Benefits has appointed Mark Pugh to the new role of head of consulting services as of today.

Pugh (pictured speaking at the Health & Protection IPMI Summit 2023) joins the leadership team at Towergate Employee Benefits, reporting into Tim Gillingham, director of employee benefits.

The firm said the key commercial role supports its growth plan for employee benefits services following its acquisition of Benefiz.

After that acquisition, Towergate changed its name from Towergate Health & Protection to Towergate Employee Benefits.

In this new role, the firm said Pugh will support the development and expansion of the full-service employee benefits capability that the Benefiz acquisition brought, helping to ensure the successful delivery of complex services to larger clients.

Previously head of employee benefits at Verlingue UK, Pugh’s knowledge, skills and experience is expected to help deliver on its ambitious plans for growth, the firm added.

Pugh will also take over the leadership of Towergate Employee Benefit’s role with the Worldwide Broker Network from 2025.
